The Mindfulness Place
Terms, privacy and refunds
Last updated 16 October 2026
This page explains what you are buying, what we do with your details, and where our responsibility begins and ends. It is written to be read, not to be got past. If something here is unclear, ask us before you buy. We would rather answer a question than have you assume.
In this page, “we” and “us” mean The Mindfulness Place Pty Ltd (ABN 48 700 598 152), trading as The Mindfulness Place. “You” means the person who holds the account.
01
What you are buying
A twelve month licence to listen. One payment. Not a subscription. Nothing recurs, and nothing is charged to you again unless you choose it and pay for it yourself.
What the licence gives you. Access to the programme you bought, through your account on the portal, for twelve months from the day you buy it. Every session is available from the start. There is no schedule to keep up with and no part of it that unlocks later.
Adding more. Once you hold a licence you can add other programmes at the add-on price shown inside the portal, rather than the first-year price. An addition joins the licence you already hold. It runs to the same renewal date as your other programmes, rather than starting twelve months of its own.
When the twelve months are up. Six weeks and two weeks before your renewal date, we will email you the option to continue for another year for $47 AUD, US$47 or £47, in the currency you first paid in. One renewal covers every programme you hold. If you take it, your access carries on. If you do nothing, your access ends on the expiry date and no payment is taken. We do not hold your card and charge you quietly. There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews on its own.
What happens to your progress. If a licence lapses and you renew later, the sessions you had listened to are still marked, and your new year starts from the day you renew. Your account is not deleted when a licence ends.
The licence is yours. It is for one person and it is not transferable. Please do not share your login, and please do not copy, download, re-record, broadcast or resell the audio. The sessions stay ours. What you get is the right to listen to them for as long as your licence runs.
Prices depend on where you are. Australia and New Zealand pay in Australian dollars, the United Kingdom pays in pounds, and everywhere else pays in US dollars. Once you have bought, every programme you add and every renewal is in the same currency as your first purchase. Your bank may add its own fee for paying in a foreign currency. That part is between you and them.
Schools, clubs and organisations
An organisation can set up a trial or a licence for its people. We give the organisation one link per person, and the organisation decides who receives them.
Your own account. When you use a link, you add your name and email address and we create an account for you on the portal. The login is yours. It is the same kind of account as anyone who buys from us directly.
What the organisation sees. Your name, your email address and the date you joined. It does not see which sessions you play, when you listen, or anything you write. What you listen to stays private to you.
When a trial ends. Access to the trial programme ends on the date you were shown when you joined, unless your organisation takes out a licence for you. No payment is taken from you. Your account is not deleted, and you can buy the programme yourself at any time.
What you buy yourself is yours. Anything you buy with your own money stays yours, whatever happens with your organisation's trial or licence. The organisation cannot remove it.
Buying for a child
Accounts are for adults. If a programme is written for a young age group, the parent, carer or teacher holds the account and plays the sessions for or with the child. The child does not have their own login and we do not collect anything about them.

Refunds
Change of mind. Because every session is available the moment you pay, we do not offer change of mind refunds once you have opened the programme. If you have bought within the last fourteen days and have not opened it, write to us and we will refund you.
Your rights are not affected by that. In Australia, our programmes come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a programme is faulty, is not as described, or does not do what we said it would, you are entitled to a refund or a replacement, and nothing on this page limits that. If you think that has happened, tell us and we will sort it out.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you normally have fourteen days to change your mind about something bought online. Because you get your programme immediately, our checkout asks you to agree to start straight away and to acknowledge that doing so ends that fourteen day right. If you would rather keep the fourteen days, do not tick that box, and your access will begin once the period has passed.
If something is broken, tell us. Audio that will not play, a session that is missing, a licence that did not arrive. We will fix it, and if we cannot, we will refund you.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and take a few days to appear.

What these sessions are, and what they are not
We want to be careful here, because being vague about it would not be fair to you.
These are mindfulness sessions, not treatment. They are not therapy, not counselling, not medical or psychological advice, and not a diagnosis of anything. They are not a substitute for care from a doctor, psychologist or any other health professional. Nothing in them is tailored to you, because we do not know you.
Mindfulness asks you to pay attention to what is already there. Most of the time that is steadying. Sometimes it is not. Sitting quietly with your own attention can bring up feelings that were easier to outrun while you were busy. That is a normal part of the practice and it is not a sign that something has gone wrong. It is also not something we can predict for any individual person.
So here is what we ask. Listen somewhere you are safe and can stop. Never listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery, swimming, or doing anything else that needs your attention. If a session becomes distressing, stop it. You are allowed to stop. Coming back another day is not failing.
If you are being treated for a mental health condition, or you have a history of trauma, psychosis, dissociation or a severe anxiety disorder, please talk to the person treating you before you start, and keep talking to them while you do. This is not us being cautious for the sake of it. Mindfulness practice interacts with those things and your clinician knows your history.
If you are struggling right now, please do not rely on an audio session. In Australia, Lifeline is 13 11 14 and the Suicide Call Back Service is 1300 659 467. In the United Kingdom, Samaritans is 116 123. In the United States and Canada, call or text 988. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Where that leaves responsibility. You choose when and where to listen, and what to do with what comes up. Those choices are yours, and we cannot make them for you or supervise them. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what follows from your use of the programmes. We take care with what we make. We cannot take responsibility for how any one person experiences it.
That said, we are not trying to escape anything we should not. Nothing on this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the consumer guarantees described above.

Your privacy
What we collect
When you buy. Your name, your email address, and what you bought. Your card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see them and we do not store them.
When you start a checkout. Your name and email address from the first step. If you do not finish, we may send you up to two reminders about it, and then we stop.
When you ask us for something. If you ask us to send you a sample session, or tell us about something coming up so we can send the right session, your first name, your email address and what you told us, such as the date. If you answer the one-question check-in we send after your first month, the score you give.
When you join through an organisation. Your name, your email address, and which organisation's code you used. We also note which of our team looks after that organisation, and whether the organisation came to us or we went to it.
When you use the portal. Which programmes you hold, which sessions you have played, and when. Notes you write in the Notes to yourself panel stay on your own device and are never sent to us.
When you contact us. Whatever you put in the message.
Automatically. Standard technical information such as your device type, browser and general location, and how pages are used. We use Google Analytics for this. We also keep a small cookie on our own sites that remembers the page and campaign that first brought you to us. When you give us your email address, we attach that to your record, so we know which of our pages and advertising are working.
Why we hold it
To give you what you paid for, to keep your licence current, to answer you when you write to us, to keep the platform working, and to meet our tax and record keeping obligations. Where you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the platform, your consent for anything that asks for it, and our legal obligations.
Who else touches it
- GoHighLevel, which runs the portal, our email and our records.
- Stripe, which processes payments.
- Cloudflare, which hosts our websites, checks organisation access codes, and passes what you send through our forms to GoHighLevel.
- If you joined with an organisation's link, that organisation. It sees your name, your email address and the date you joined. It does not see what you listen to.
- Google Analytics, which tells us how the platform is used.
We do not sell your details. We do not trade them. We do not hand them to anyone else except where the law requires it.
Where it is held
Our platform and email run on GoHighLevel, whose servers are in the United States, so your details are stored and processed there. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, that is a transfer outside your region, made under the standard contractual clauses in our agreements with those providers.
How long we keep it
Your account details for as long as you have an account, and then for seven years after your last transaction, which is what our tax obligations require. Analytics data is kept in aggregate. Ask us to delete your account and we will, subject to that record keeping.
What you can ask for
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union you can also ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, ask for your data in a portable form, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If you are in California or another United States state with its own privacy law, you have equivalent rights and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Write to [email protected] and we will answer within thirty days.
If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk if you are in the United Kingdom, or to your national supervisory authority in the European Union.
Children
We do not knowingly collect anything about anyone under sixteen. Accounts belong to adults, and the programmes written for young people are held and played by a parent, carer or school. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Staying in touch
We only send you email about our programmes if you tick the box asking for it, at checkout or on one of our forms. It is the same kind of thing you already bought, it is never often, and every message has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You can also tell us to stop by replying, and we will. If you have not opened one of these emails in six months, we ask once whether you still want them, and stop if you do not answer.
Some emails are not marketing and will keep coming while your licence is live: your receipt, your login details, a few tips on getting started in your first fortnight, a one-question check-in after your first month, a notice that your licence is ending, and anything we have to tell you about the service. Those are part of what you bought.

The rest
We may change this page. If we change something that matters, we will tell you by email. The date at the top always shows the current version.
If part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands.
Which law applies. This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protection you have under the law where you live.
